Claire House website
Claire House is a 10 bedded hospice located in Bebington on the Wirral. It is a bright, vibrant place of hope for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions from across Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and the Isle of Man. In addition to caring for our children and young adults we also focus on the needs of the whole family, providing bereavement, and other support, for as long as it is needed. With no guaranteed government funding we need to raise in excess of £2.5 million each year to maintain our present levels of service.
Our specialist nursing team also work in the community through our 'Hospice to Home' programme which offers paediatric palliative care in the family home.

Derian House website
When we were children, it always seemed the best stories of childhood began, "Once upon a time" and ended, "they all lived happily ever after" Sadly for the children of Derian House and their parents, the reality is somewhat different, and all too often, living happily ever after, is not to be.
For the parents of a child diagnosed as terminally ill, there can be no long term future, the planning of their child's education, the milestones in their child's life for who knows what tomorrow, next week, next year may bring. For them there is sufficient challenge in coping with their child's illness from one day to the next. For them, their children's future is counted in smaller terms, sometimes in months or weeks, rather than years, in taking each day as it comes. For them, Derian House becomes an intrinsic part of that future.
Whilst their lives may be cut tragically short, we ensure that they lead as full and normal a life as possible by offering them the optimum support to cope with their illness, along with the best possible medical care , and as much fun and laughter as they can pack into every single day.

We are a small UK based charitable trust, helping to transform the lives of very poor disabled Mexican children.
Mexico is a poor country and there is very little Government help for disabled children. We support a large charitable institute in Mexico called Nuevo Amanecer (New Dawn) where hundreds of disabled children are treated and educated. Our support takes the form of providing expert training for the therapists and provision of special wheelchairs and vital equipment which the children need to live as normal a life as possible.
We do as much as we can with expert volunteers but we need to raise money to pay for more training and to fund the employment of a small number of Mexican support staff. We also need money to obtain and transport wheelchairs and equipment.
Our expenses and overheads are very small so that almost every penny donated goes directly to helping poor disabled children.
